JULIAN BOYCE

Julian is an enigma,a very rare talent. To find a young man with Blues rock running through his veins is a very very rare thing indeed. Julian has no previous experience with playing in bands which makes his talent even more unique. His influence’s are……..Eric Clapton .Stevie ray Vaughan …Gary More. B.B.King. Freddie King. Buddy Guy. Santana. Rory Gallaghet.Billy Gibbons and of course Peter Green.

ROGER MORGAN

Roger started playing guitar when he was 14. He was having spanish lessons from a spanish teacher funnily enough.
At the age of 17 he started playing in bands as a lead guitarist in a band called The Treatment’. The band lasted for about 5 years. Then 1 day a friend of his needed a bass guitarist. So he sold his lead guitar and joined the group as a bass. He never looked back. He loves playing bass. The band love bug was created, a 4 piece harmony band doing covers, from there he went on to play with another harmony band called ‘China Grove’. He played in several Wolverhampton bands over the years before going to Australia and joined a top band called ‘Copper Soul’ who were based in Cairns, North Queensland. He was with them for 5 years before returning to the UK. When he joined a top comedy band called ‘Hello’ touring all over the UK. Bringing us up to present day he is now with ‘Phoenix Rising’. Loving every minute, influences, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, AC-DC, Journey and many more. He is a very professional musician that brings his own style of bass to the band.

Carl Woodcock ( AKA RAZOR )

Drummer: Carl is a man of many parts ,.
He is an accomplished sportsman in boxing and the martial arts world ,as well as being a Composer , guitarist ,lyricist and vocalist .He has played with too many bands to mention over the years , and has been asked to play in the USA , by “named” bands, after being spotted at some of his many gigs.
Carl was , { in his words}, “brought up on music from a very early age “, being heavily influenced by his Mom and Dad , who Carl says were the best in the Midlands, as he puts it ” they taught me everything I need to know about music and life”…
His musical tastes are varied, and likes all genre’s and he can play them all too!
Carl quite simply , is a master of the skins , and by joining Phoenix Rising , he has heightened the level of music they deliver.

GARRY BENNETT

Garry who is the front man , vocalist, guitarist and writer in the band is somewhat of an enigma. Legend has it, over the years he has played with both big and small bands. There is nothing known about him prior to 1992, so he was either born fully grown, or he was so deep under cover with his previous employer, (the CIA- Black Cops) that his file doesn’t even flag up when you try to access it under “top secret ” .Sadly he was recently been diagnosed with “terminal indifference” and isn’t expected to recover anytime soon! .
